case study

This project brings interactive 3D anatomy resources into the same learning environment as lessons and study materials, avoiding a disconnected microsite experience.

The challenge

Interactive models can easily create usability problems: embedded viewers compete with page scrolling, third-party platforms can introduce access limitations, and model files need a manageable publishing workflow.

What I built

  • A dedicated 3D resource content model inside WordPress
  • Interactive GLB viewing with a clean learning-focused presentation
  • Protected media handling for locally hosted model assets
  • Lesson integration so a relevant model can appear inside the learning flow
  • Migration from a separate 3D subdomain into the primary platform
  • Interaction patterns designed to reduce scroll/viewer conflicts

Why it matters

The project shows how a specialist media format can be integrated as part of a broader educational product instead of being treated as a standalone novelty.
